Boxing training for fitness includes practicing punching drills and combinations, either on a partner wearing punch mitts, or one of the various styles of punch bags. Then these get blended together with the aerobic, anaerobic and plyometric exercises involved in a typical boxers training session, to give you an excellent all round workout. Remember too that every single boxer out there will have started from ground level and steadily improved their fitness to where they are today, so anyone and everyone can quickly work their way up to a good level of fitness: whatever your size, age or sex.

These boxing training classes improve your speed and resistance, plus flexibility and the reflexes of the muscles are also greatly enhanced. The physical benefits you will get from boxing style training are just one of the many gains that you will receive though. You will learn about self defence mechanism skills, which can also be very useful if you find yourself in an unpleasant situation sometime. Learning the proper execution of the punch combinations, the boxers stance and footwork, proper defence, etc, will also make you feel so much more confident. Sports behavioural studies have shown that the training techniques adopted by boxers using punch bags and sparring, lead to superior decision making skills. Improves hand-eye coordination – Unlike asymmetrical sports such as tennis and golf, your body improves evenly on both sides using boxing style training, helping to reduce postural misalignment problems

Increases stamina is estimated that boxing is 70%-80% anaerobic (high-intensity) and 20%-30% aerobic. So the training increases stamina in the heart and lungs. Boxing training also improves muscle strength required for everyday activities, as well as the ‘fast twitch’ muscle fibres required for shorter, more explosive movements. Boxing training is a great way to do that, making you feel calm as all the aggression is very channelled and controlled. Even though there is no physical contact, it enables you to feel in control of your body and more confident about protecting yourself if you are required to.

Increase your discipline – Many people don’t fully appreciate that boxing training is all about discipline, and it’s a great way to increase that in other areas of your life, too, such as drinking and eating. Focus energy and concentration – Training stimulates your mind and boosts your self belief. So it’s also great for children, as it also helps build self esteem and respect in young people who may be bullied or lack physical confidence. Oh and don’t worry about getting whacked in “boxing style training” either. These are strictly non contact circuit training sessions which you can easily do alone at home, although training in a group does help to reinforce camaraderie as you urge each other on.

Many people assume that boxing exercises only cover jumping into the ring and sparring with someone. This is a key part of getting into shape but it is only one piece of it. Sparring involves putting the movements a boxer has learned into action while in the ring. At the same time they are being observed about their form, their endurance, and their overall movements. A boxer that quickly runs out of breath in the ring won’t be able to win any fights. A boxer never knows how many rounds the event will be going for either. In some scenarios there is going to be an ending soon due to a knockout. However, a good boxer will be in good enough shape to go the distance for all the rounds and let the decision go to the judges.

In order to help with getting the body ready overall for such a long time of movement, there are a variety of great exercises to take part in. Jumping rope is very effective and it is great for the cardio system. This is also a simple enough type of exercise that anyone can take part in. Jumping jacks are another great form of exercise to consider. Jogging with sprints at regular intervals as fast as you can go help to get the heart beating faster too. Yoga is another way for boxers go get into shape. This helps to develop a strong body from the core outward. It also helps to improve the areas of balance and agility. A boxer definitely needs to be strong but speed and agility help to get out of the way of what the opponent is sending their direction. This is every bit as important as having a strong punch to offer themselves.

To gain stronger muscles, shadowboxing is a great method of training and exercising for boxers. This is somewhat similar to sparring but it involves only one person instead of two. The use of a punching bag can also be used. However, most of the time it involves just going through the same movements that would take place against an opponent. Boxing does take a commitment and plenty of skill to be good at it. This sport also involves a quality exercise program that gets all of the muscle groups ready to be in the ring. Boxing is more of a physical sport than most people realize. This is because the people involved in it often look very graceful and their movements come easy.

Boxing is a sport that demands toughness, both mental and physical. Boxing training is considered to be one of the best ways to keep your body fit and strong. It is a whole body fitness program. Generally, people manage with a punching bag when at home. But, that is not enough. You can create your own boxing gym at home. It is very easy.Earlier, the home boxing gym used to have a nostalgic look. Here, the boxers and warriors were trained periodically and strenuously.

When we think of a proverbial boxing gym, what comes to mind is an image of a physically unattractive old brick building typically made of brick and mortar! In those days, out of hundreds of aspiring athletes and boxers, only a few managed to fight their way to victory at the big ring and the elusive championship. In the present scenario, boxing, as a sport, has declined. Modern gyms, on the other hand, are very attractive. They provide the boxers with ultra exclusive electronic fitness equipment and a boxing area with simplistic equipment as well. These include a punching bag, leather medicine ball, treadmill and a jump rope.

All these elements of boxer training are extremely useful in providing strength, cardiovascular health and endurance. As it is not very difficult to have all the above mentioned simple equipments at home, it is not a bad idea to have a boxing gym of your own. This will help you to stay in the best form and will always keep you healthy. Bear in mind that it is not just strength that is needed to win. Besides strength, the perception of strength, endurance and determination are also under scrutiny at the ringside.

You ought to fight your own battle. Popularity can only get you some cheering, but performance factors still remain to be important if you wish to win. Thus, it is necessary that you should do the boxing workouts regularly. A home boxing gym will provide you with a legitimate place in sports fitness and in areas of physical training.Boxing training is the only way in which you can tone up every single muscle of your body. In fact, working on every single muscle is important for any home exercise program.

“Is Boxing Training for You?

You may be wondering… Is boxing training really for me? What can it really do for me?.. Won’t it take forever to learn?

I’m here to say NO!!! to all the above…

Boxing Training In The News

The USA Today has done an article on the up-rise of people using boxing training as a means of serious results given training..

People from all walks of life, both male and female alike use this workout with great success. From the white collar worker, to the stay at home mom, This workout is waking people up to there true potential!

These people have been dropping lot’s of weight and shredding fat from their bodies. They all agree that boxing training is real and delivers!

Is it all hype?

Allot of people are skeptics of glorified training methods for good reason. There is allot of unnecessary hype with these methods that really… well.. suck!

This is the type of workout that doesn’t allow you to BS yourself. The jump rope and bags let you know if your improving or not. The punch mitts, bags, and jump rope are very honest… They don’t lie to you!

This is a workout that demands you get better simply by doing it. This is why people from all ages and both genders love it.

Boxing training is truly old school in that as long as you stay with it and work… you will reap the rewards of a better body… improved confidence… self-defense.. and just awaking the athlete that has been dormant in you!

You have no choice to improve your coordination training this way. No choice but to improve your conditioning, agility, timing.

Can the elliptical do this?.. How about the stationary bike?.. These are great tools. That’s all they are though. They shouldn’t be the end all and be all of your training.

In closing your training using this workout will warrant you the above rewards….. Who wouldn’t want that out of a training session?

Where can I do it?

You don’t have to travel to a grimy gym to box the weight off. You can create your very home gym. The equipment you need is VERY affordable.

Boxing bags can be set up in your garage, basement, attic, spare room, or even a barn.

Where can I get instruction for private use?

In my Ultimate Boxing Workout Dvd I cover basic boxing instruction and as a bonus equipment set up. I also cover where to purchase eguipment for quick set up and use.

You will walk away from the DVD with the full confidence you need to apply the basic techniques to start punching off the pounds!”
